Happy Corruption To All, And To All A Good Night

How much did you spend chirstmas shopping this year? $500?, $700? More? Just think how much corporate north america is making on this "holiest of seasons" Fucking billions. Since when was it customary for a person to buy a $30-$100 gift for members of their family, and even thier friends. Fuck, people buy shit for their dogs, co-workers, even their fucking inlaws. *GASP* No, not the inlaws! Yes fair people, the inlaws.

I don't ever remember anyone spending a few hundred coin on little jesus for his birthday. "Happy birthday jesus, heres a nice little PSP for you." That shit ain't happened man. So when in history did it become almost mandatory for one to spend a fuckload of thier paychecks and go out and buy presents for people around the chirstmas season? I can't really give you the exact date, but i'll give you a hint. When was corperate north america getting full fledged and crazy? Around the early 1900's is my guess. When did it become almost morally manditory for the chirstmas gift buying? Around the early 1900's. Notice something here?

So heres the Wiersema low down.

It may be just me, but i don't really understand how people could get so excited about a holiday that is so fucking corrupt and unethical. I mean really, all Christmas is now is a materialistic holiday that just makes multi-billion dollar corperations more fucking money. And then in an act to hide the fact that people are afriad that they're corrupted, they cover it up with the blinding bullshit about how Chirstmas is some sort of Religious holiday. I admit, thats what this Chirstmas thing started out to be, was the celebration of the birth of this Jesus character. But it's obviously not what it's about now. Thats why I refer to it as "Present Day"

So in closing, Chirstmas is corrupt, but it's not the only chirstian celebration that has been turned into a corperate nightmare. Look at Bunny day (easter).
Also, Sex day (valentines day) may not be a religious thing, but its a prime example of how corperations are making thier own holidays.
