When You Kill Someone, They Die, For Real!
My job is doing what many people can only dream of. I work with equipment a lot of people will never see, and if they do, it's in pictures or movies. What I, and a special breed of people do is ensure the safety and security of a country and her interests. But my job is much more important than so many understand. I am a member of a gun detachment. I along with 6 others take care, work on and use a 2400KG gun that can fire 105mm rounds 18km. Speed and accuracy is what we have to achieve because in real life, seconds are the difference between friendly soldiers living or dying.
Something so many people in Canada take for granted is her Armed Forces. In fact, some Canadians don't even know we have an Army. Canada has one of the best trained, paid, and fed armies in the world. The most advanced weapons systems come out of Canada. The best trained Sniper teams in the world come out of Canada. Even the most advanced camoflage pattern comes out of canada. Ever heard of CADPAT?
Anyways, a military is something many take for granted. Most people only realize how badly they need something when it's gone. But as long as the ever growing threat of the enemy is out there, the more soldiers like me there will be to fight it.

you learn something everyday
we actually haven't had an army since '67, technically speaking. nor an air force nor a navy. unification disbanded them all and combined them as the CF.
fun stuff.
